On Thursday, July 9, 2015. the Aero Club will be the guests of AgustaWestland for a dinner and private tour of this helicopter manufacturing facility at the Philadelphia Northeast Airport. A Board Meeting will be held beforehand. Members and guests are welcome to attend (U.S. citizens only). Arrive around 7PM. Dinner begins at 7:30PM. The tour and dinner costs $25 per person. Fly in traffic is allowed if we get your aircraft type and N-number.
AgustaWestland at Philadelphia operates a 275,000 square foot facility at Northeast Philadelphia Airport, employing over 560 people. The facility includes final assembly lines for the AW119Kx and AW139 helicopters, performs helicopter customization and has a delivery center for the AW109. The facility is also expected to be part of the planned production of the first civil tilt-rotor aircraft, the AW609.
