Dr. Richard Porcelli has balanced a successful career as a chemical engineer with a life-long passion for all things aviation. He is author of “Naval Air Station Atlantic City” and the recently released book “Floyd Bennett Field.” He writes magazine articles about naval aviation history and lectures on aviation history.
He will speak about Atlantic City’s rich aviation heritage, including its important role in the development of commercial aviation dating back to just a few years after the Wright Brothers’s first flight. It also played an important role in the defense of the nation during WWII, Korea and the Cold War.
