The Aero Club welcomes Dr. Steve Bateman, Director of the Flying Clubs Initiative at the AOPA. His team’s efforts are one part of the AOPA's You Can Fly program designed to reverse the trend of a diminishing pilot population.
We will meet at the Philadelphia Aviation Country Club on Thursday, October 18 at 6:30PM (for a buffet dinner) and 7:30PM (presentation).

Dr. Steve Bateman is an active staff CFI, aircraft owner, glider pilot, FAASTeam Safety Representative, and Air Safety Institute presenter. Prior to AOPA, Steve owned a flight school in Nebraska – and before that, had a successful career in high tech electronics in Silicon Valley having earned a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from Loughborough University, England.
